Bukisa was created in 2008 as an open content site that hosts a motley crew of content, ranging from text to audio to video in a variety of genres including how-to guides, opinion pieces, and short stories. 

There is no application required to be a part of the Bukisa community, and similarly content is not reviewed yet published immediately upon submission.  The site offers users ad revenue for the articles they submit, however there is not clear information on the Bukisa site that specifies what the per thousand impression rate is.

Bukisa is still in its fledgling stages of development, and in fact is still considered a beta site.  Their audience is not particularly broad as of February 2009, and their articles do not show up within the first three pages of related searches on Google.  However, one point in Bukisa’s favor is that whatever their revenue share amount is it is sizable and not shy to accumulate.  Also, Bukisa does not require original content, so content from sites like eHow may be redistributed on Bukisa to earn additional money.

The Bottom Line: The jury is still out on Bukisa as a worthwhile writing site – however, as content placed on the site seems to earn revenue it may be good to get in this new operation on the ground floor.
